Job Description Summary :
Maintain the ERP and ES Oracle application environments used globally to support the business functions of NCR
Participate on a small team (partnering with DBA resources in the US) responsible for administering the databases in the development and production environments. Interact with the developers and technical departments to promote information sharing, coordinate enterprise information architecture, and provide data management operation to ensure the security, quality, performance, and accessibility of the ERP and GES databases and directory structures.
Administers complex database architectures of Oracle 9i and Oracle 10g
Worked extensivly on Oracle Application 11i and Rel 12- Maintenance , Patching &
System administration.
Good foundation in oracle Application Architecture
Oracle Applications 11i and R12 environments Installation/Upgrades/cloning exposure
Strong in Unix
Designs and implements high-availability database clusters;
Manages database and providing support in production/UAT environments;
Good Trouble shooting skills for project teams facing database issues
Basic Qualifications:
Any Bachelors or Masters
4 Year Engineering Degree, or 3 Year Masters of Computer Application /Science
Minimum of 2 years proven DBA experience supporting Oracle Apps 11i/R12
Operating System: SUN Solaris 8, 9 (10 is helpful) , IBM Aix and Linux knowledge is helpful.
Unix shell scripting experience is helpful.
Remote job scheduling tool knowledge (i.e. Control-M) is helpful
Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language
Must be willing to provide 24x7 on-call support.
RAC exposure is desirable.
